令和3年5～6月に岩瀬地区の小中学校計6校の児童生徒たち約700名が、東京2020オリンピック競技大会に出場するブルガリア共和国の射撃選手を応援するため、応援フラッグへの寄せ書きやメッセージカードを添えたサクラのくす玉制作を行いました。
小学校では、高学年の代表クラスの児童らが、応援フレーズが紹介された資料を参考に、ブルガリア語や日本語で応援フラッグへ各校1枚の寄せ書きをしました。
中学校では、各校の美術部などが代表して折り紙でサクラのくす玉を制作。そして、全校生徒が記入したメッセージカードをくす玉に下げました。
応援フラッグやサクラのくす玉には、「健闘を祈っています」や「優勝目指して頑張れ」など児童・生徒から思い思いの激励の言葉が書かれました。

Students in Sakuragawa City sent cheering messages to Bulgarian shooters.
In order to support the Bulgarian shooters who will participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, about 700 students of total 6 elementary and junior high schools in Iwase district made cheering flags and the origami cherry blossom flowers with message cards from May to June 2021.
At the elementary schools, students in the representative upper grade classes wrote messages to each flag in Bulgarian and Japanese languages, referring to the material that introduced the cheering Bulgarian phrases.
At the junior high schools, the art club and other representatives made the origami cherry blossom flowers. Then, the message cards filled out by all students were hung from the origami cherry blossom flowers.
Words of encouragement from students such as "I wish you good luck" and "Do your best to win the first prize" were written on the flags and message cards of the origami cherry blossom flowers.

・折り紙1枚1枚を丁寧に折り、きれいなくす玉ができるように努めていました。
・タブレットを使って言葉を調べたり、折り紙に熱心になるなど、想像していたよりずっと楽しそうな様子でした。

児童生徒たちからブルガリアの射撃選手たちに贈られた応援フラッグとサクラのくす玉が、東京2020オリンピック競技大会において、選手たちの力になることを願っています。
We hope that this flags and the origami cherry blossom flowers for the Bulgarian shooters from students will support the Bulgarian shooters at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
